“Hello there. Can I offer you a goat? For all of you who are familiar with CBC, you’ve probably been waiting for this email since the goat moved on to greener pastures last May. For our new found friends, a brief note on the horned, bearded fella: The goat is our chosen spokesanimal for our spring beer – Carolina Spring Bock. This is the 8th year we’ve made our bock. It comes out every year in February and sticks around until the temperatures start staying in the 90s, usually mid-May. Our bock is a golden colored, smooth lager. The 5.9% alcohol gives it a nice kick.

We have lined up two parties to celebrate this year’s Running of the Goat.

The first one will be held in Raleigh this Friday, February 27th at 6:00 PM at Hard Times on Glenwood Avenue. Joe will be on hand to talk & drink. For those of you not interested in talking or drinking with Joe, the first 75 customers get a free pint glass with the goat logo printed right on it. Hard Times is located at 410 Glenwood Avenue, suite 300 and their phone # is 835-1600.

The second party will be at Brixx in Chapel Hill’s Meadowmont development next Friday, March 5 at 5:00 PM. Same deal: the first 75 customers get a free goat glass. Brixx is located at 501 Meadowmont Village Circle and their phone # is 929-1942.

As usual, we will have kegs and bottles of CBC Spring Bock available at the brewery. Retail hours are Fridays 12 to 6 PM and Saturdays 12 to 4 PM.

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING YOUR LOCAL BREWERY.
Wiggo, John, Greg & Joe”
