The closing of Chesapeake Bay/Rock Creek/Tomcat Brewery left a pretty large hole in the triangle list of breweries. It appears that the existing building and equipment have been purchased and are going to be put to work soon. The rumor is that they will be called Edenton Brewing, and they should start brewing sometime very soon.

The building is located in an industrial part of Raleigh. The last tenants (Chesbay) had created a very nice brewery bar. It was a nice little bar in a pretty out of the way area. When Chesbay closed, the bar owners/managers basically sold everything from the tables to the ashtrays. It would be interesting if they got the bar running again to accompany the new beers.
